M Corp launches flagship product to assess project readiness
M Corp, which sells information technology and consulting services to state and local governments, has launched a division focused on creating new products.
The new business unit will focus on what M Corp in a statement described as “products as a service that reduce barriers to mission-centric results and eliminate technical debt.”
The launch comes as all types of public agencies — spurred by the pandemic but also pre-pandemic trends toward digitalization — continue to deliver significant technology upgrades. M Corp is also gearing up for “corporate-level rebranding” and a new website due to launch this summer.
“Our new product division disrupts the status quo by offering customers a real path to realizing their vision and goals, while reducing the risks associated with modernization,” said M Corp CEO Alex Castro, in the press release.
M Corp, headquartered in Sacramento, Calif., has officially launched its flagship product ReM Score. The company described ReM Score as an “innovative readiness assessment tool” to help leaders assess risk before embarking on a project.
The company also plans to launch subscription-based services in the near term to help M Corp customers modernize their operations.
M Corp also detailed the staff who will lead the new product team.
Ryan Clements, who has startup, IT and COO experience, will work as senior vice president of product solutions. Emily Holtz, who served as a digital strategy consultant for Gartner and a technical illustrator, will serve as vice president of product operations. The effort will also involve engineering, sales, marketing and product management professionals.
The company has promoted Tom Larson to senior vice president of its professional services division.
“Our new operating model will allow the Professional Services team to continue to thrive with increased focus and energy,” Larson said via the release. “I appreciate the hard work of our dedicated engineers, analysts and consultants who have helped make M Corp a trusted brand.”
Among the agencies M Corp has worked with are the California Department of Public Health, Department of Employment Development and the State Land Commission.
