Electric vehicle maker Omega Seiki Mobility and Log9 Materials, a Bengaluru-based advanced battery technology start-up, on Thursday unveiled an upgraded, jointly developed, longer-range version of the Rage+ electric 3-wheeler named ‘Rage+ RapidEV Pro”, which is equipped with Log9’s 7.7 KWh battery, the RapidX 8000.

Log9’s Rage+ RapidEV Pro InstaCharged is available in 2 variants with respect to body volume – the 140 cubic foot and 170 cubic foot variant.

As part of this collaboration, OSM and Log9 will deploy over 5,000 units of Rage+ RapidEV Pro vehicles by fiscal year 2022-23. These deployments will start from New Delhi and Bengaluru and then various other cities will be targeted and leveraged.

The two companies have also forged ties with fleet operators like MoEVing in Delhi and LetsTransport in Bengaluru.

According to a company statement, this e-3W vehicle platform, designed for the logistics segment, fully recharges (from 0 to 100%) in 45 minutes and offers up to 95 km. Interval. The vehicle can also operate in very wide temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius. Moreover, designed to adapt to Indian climatic conditions, the vehicle also comes with a 6-year or unlimited km warranty and offers a range of more than 10,000 cycles.

The Rage+ RapidEV Pro will redefine the TCO for a typical 3W used for the e-commerce industry. Vehicles such as the Rage+ Pro, capable of traveling long distances on a single charge, will be a key driver for faster adoption of electric vehicles, he said.

“Vehicle customers/owners will now be able to improve their asset utilization by up to 1.5 times that of conventional 3W electrics.” Hajela added.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, said, “We have an order book of over 50,000 cargo electric three-wheelers.”

OSM also plans to create fast charging solutions for our upcoming trucks and tractors, he said.
